Niall Ferguson

Niall Ferguson is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University and William Ziegler Professor at Harvard Business School. A prolific commentator on contemporary politics and economics, he is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and the continental European press. One of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2004, Niall Ferguson’s has written over 10 books including the international bestsellers The War of the World: Twentieth Century Conflict and the Descent of the West, Empire: How Britain Made the Modern World, The Pity of War: Explaining World War One and The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World.

Professor Ferguson is the host of the popular PBS series the global economy, The Ascent of Money. He is currently working on a definitive biography of Henry Kissinger.
