Josef Joffe is arguably the best-informed European expert on U.S. foreign policy. His political analyses have appeared in the New York Review of Books, Times Literary Supplement, The New York Times Magazine, and the New Republic. Dr. Joffe has taught at Stanford, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins universities. He is currently Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and publisher-editor of the German weekly, Die Zeit. His most recent book, Überpower: The Imperial Temptation of America (2006), about the burdens of a sole super power, has received wide critical acclaim.
